Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra blasted the Bihar Police on Thursday for reportedly preventing Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, from driving to the event at the Ambedkar Hostel in Darbhanga. She called the action cowardly, disgusting, and unacceptable.
“Stopping the Leader of Opposition Shri Rahul Gandhi ji, who was going to interact with the students under the ‘Shiksha Nyay Samvad’ program at Ambedkar Hostel in Darbhanga, is a very shameful, condemnable and cowardly act,” Priyanka Gandhi wrote in an article on X.
Bihar residents, she warned, will not put up with the “dictatorship” of the state’s NDA administration.
“The JDU-BJP coalition government, which is determined to impose a dictatorship, needs to clarify if it is illegal for the leader of the opposition to go to Bihar or whether it is illegal to speak out for the poor, backward, and Dalit communities. “This dictatorship will not be tolerated by the people of Bihar, the land of justice and revolution,” she said.
Rahul Gandhi claimed earlier in the day that the federal government opposes democracy, the Constitution, and minorities after being stopped by the Bihar Police as he was traveling to the Ambedkar hostel in Darbhanga.
“I was attempted to be stopped by the Bihar Police. However, your strength (the minority population) is keeping watch over me, so they were unable to stop me. We informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi that a census was necessary. PM Narendra Modi launched the nation’s caste census as a result of your demand.
The Constitution was put on his forehead because he was afraid of your pressure. However, its regime opposes minorities, democracy, and the Constitution. Speaking to the crowd in Darbhanga, Rahul Gandhi said, “This is Adani-Ambani’s government, not yours.”
“I guarantee that the moment our government forms in India and in Bihar and implements everything that you deserve,” he said.
Rahul Gandhi questioned Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in a post on X about when the conversation became into a “crime in the state.”
I can’t engage with Dalit and underprivileged students in Ambedkar Hostel because of NDA’s “Double Engine Dhokebaaz Sarkaar” in Bihar. When did conversation turn become a crime? What do you fear, Nitish ji? Do you want to conceal Bihar’s social justice and educational conditions? stated the Lok Sabha (LoP).
“India is not a dictatorship; it is a democracy governed by the Constitution! The Congress leader wrote on X, “No one can stop us from raising our voice for social justice and education.”
To introduce the ‘Shiksha Nyay Samvad’ in Darbhanga today, Rahul Gandhi is in Bihar.
The Darbhanga District Administration allegedly attempted to halt Rahul Gandhi, a Congress MP and the leader of the Lok Sabha’s (LoP) program at the Ambedkar Hostel in Darbhanga, Bihar, as part of the Bihar Congress’s previous protests against the NDA administration.
