Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has reignited speculation after being spotted in London just as production ramps up on Avengers: Doomsday , the latest instalment in Marvel Studios’ superhero saga.

The Bollywood superstar's unexpected presence in the city, particularly at a time when Doomsday has officially begun filming, has fuelled fans speculation that he could be making his long-awaited Hollywood superhero debut alongside none other than Robert Downey Jr .

Khan made a surprise visit to the cast of Come Fall in Love – The DDLJ Musical, which is currently rehearsing in London ahead of its Manchester shows. The musical is inspired by the Bollywood classic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which starred Khan in his breakout romantic role. Co-star Ashley Day also spoke about the visit, sharing that Khan greeted the cast with "love and genuine excitement."




While the visit appeared purely supportive of the theatrical adaptation, Khan’s presence in London during Marvel’s filming schedule has not gone unnoticed.

Besides SRK, Harry Styles , who has been spotted flying solo around Europe, was also spotted making a stopover in London. While the singer was spotted attending the Twenty One Pilots concert, others who have been rooting for his Eternals character, Eros' return, have begun speculating if there may be truth to the rumours after all.




While no official confirmation has been made, the timing has raised eyebrows, especially as Downey Jr, returns to the Marvel fold in what many believe will be a multiversal spectacle involving past and future Avengers. Unconfirmed reports on social media have prompted buzz that Shah Rukh may even be the real Doctor Doom in the film, considering his resemblance to RDJ, making for one epic twist in the franchise's history.

Meanwhile, SRK is also currently busy with his home production, King which will see him co-starring with daughter Suhana Khan . The project is expected to begin flming mid-May.
