A controversial video has emerged from Uttar Pradesh, allegedly featuring BJP leader Babban Singh Raghuvanshi engaging in inappropriate behavior with an orchestra dancer. This footage has triggered significant political upheaval in the state. Shared on social media by Samajwadi Party leader Pankaj Rajbhar, the video reportedly shows the former assembly candidate from Rasra (Ballia) in a compromising position with a woman during what appears to be a public event. In the clip, the dancer is seen performing close to him while he is allegedly touching her inappropriately and kissing her, all while onlookers record the incident.
In response to the viral video, Babban Singh has found himself in a precarious situation, claiming that the footage is a fabricated attempt to tarnish his reputation. He vehemently denied the allegations, asserting that the video was created to damage his clean image. Singh suggested that it was part of a conspiracy orchestrated by members within his own party. He stated, "This video is solely intended to defame me. I attended a wedding in Bihar, where BJP MLA Ketki Singh's husband and others were present. These are the same individuals trying to ruin my reputation."
Singh, who claims to be 70 years old, emphasized his long-standing political career and insisted that he has never been involved in any controversy. Speaking to the media, he remarked, "At my age, I would never engage in such behavior. This video is fake and part of a political scheme ahead of the district president elections. I will file a complaint with the police."
While Singh admitted to attending the wedding and giving money to the dancer, he firmly denied any misconduct. He stated, "Yes, I did give money to the dance girl, but I did nothing wrong. This video is fabricated and intended to politically harm me." Meanwhile, opposition parties have begun to attack the BJP regarding the video, demanding accountability from the party leadership.
