Moeen Ali and Meg Lanning, two icons of modern cricket, have been conferred with Honorary Life Membership by the prestigious Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). The announcement came on Thursday, celebrating their rich legacy and impact on the global cricketing stage.

Moeen, England’s stylish all-rounder, had his Test debut at Lord’s in 2014. From then on, his journey was decorated with flair, grit, and trophies. With 6,678 international runs and 366 wickets across formats, he was England’s quiet storm — efficient and often underestimated. He’s won the Ashes twice, World Cups in both 50-over and T20 formats, and holds England’s fastest T20I fifty. A Test hat-trick at The Oval sealed his place in history. Moeen said,

"It's a tremendous honour to be awarded Honorary Life Membership of MCC. To be listed alongside so many cricketing greats is truly humbling. I'm really thankful to the Club for this, as being made an HLM is very special. I always enjoyed playing at Lord's and it was an incredible feeling to walk out at such a historic venue."
