Material (SuJi Appe’s Recipe)

  • Semolina (rava): ½ cup
  • Buffed yogurt: ½ cup
  • Green peas: @ cup
  • Cauliflower (finely chopped)
  • Green chillies (finely chopped): 1
  • Ginger paste: ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves (chopped): 8–10 leaves
  • Rai: 4 teaspoons
  • Baking Soda: 4 teaspoons
  • Salt: as per taste
  • Oil: 2 table spoon

Method (SuJi Appe’s Recipe)

  • First of all, add semolina and curd in a bowl and mix well.
  • Add green peas, chopped cabbage, green chillies, ginger paste and salt. If the solution looks thick, then add some water.
  • Now cover this mixture and keep it for about 20 minutes.
  • Heat some oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds. Then add curry leaves and fry it lightly.
  • Pour this tempering in the prepared solution and also mix baking soda.
  • Now lubricate the mold with the apple and heat it on the gas. Put a little solution in every groove.
  • Cook on low flame for 3–4 minutes with a lid. When it becomes golden from the bottom, turn over and cook for 2 minutes on the other side.
  • The hot-hot apps are ready. Serve them with coconut, peanuts or green chutney.
