New Delhi: BCCI has announced India womens squads for forthcoming for ODI and T20I series against England. India and Englands womens cricket teams will play a series of eight matches between June 28 and July 22. The series includes five T20Is and three ODIs. Harmanpreet Kaur has been named as the captain in both ODI and T20I squads Smriti Mandhana will serve as the vice-captain. After a seven-month absence Shafali Verma has returned to the national womens T20I team. Shafali Vermas inclusion in the T20I squad alongside Pratika Rawals retention in the ODI squad indicates a specialized role for Shafali in T20Is. This series follows Indias recent Tri-Series win in Sri Lanka which included South Africa giving the team positive momentum. Indias womens cricket team captained by Harmanpreet Kaur will play a five-match T20I series against England from June 28 to July 12. This will be followed by a three-match ODI series between July 16 and 22. Veteran all-rounder Sneh Ranas strong performance in the recent Tri-Nation tournament has secured her spots on both the ODI and T20I teams for the upcoming tour of England. Her inclusion bolsters both squads.
