IMD Issues a Yellow Alert for Araria, Kishanganj, and Other Areas in Bihar; Southern Region Is Likely to Experience Heatwave

Today’s weather in Bihar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in a few districts of Bihar while the majority of the state struggles with sweltering heat. The meteorological phenomenon known as Kalbaisakhi is causing significant rains in the state’s northeastern region right now. Residents have been living in difficult circumstances as a result of the remaining portion’s temperatures consistently surpassing 40 degrees Celsius.

Warning of a Heatwave In Sheikhpura, Banka
The southern region of Bihar is expected to continue to see the worst of the sweltering heat on Friday, with 13 cities in the state recording maximum temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius. There is a yellow alert for thunderstorms and lightning in Madhubani, Supur, and other areas.
On Friday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow advisory for Mahubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj due to thunderstorms, lightning, and moderate rain. In the next hours, these areas will have moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and a strong wind gusting between 30 and 40 kmph.

Weather Forecast for Bihar
In 24 districts of Bihar, the meteorological service has predicted thunderstorms, lightning, and winds of 30 to 60 kmph on Saturday. In remote locations, scattered rain has also been predicted. Although the weather in Bihar may vary, the state’s southwest and south-central areas are anticipated to continue to experience heatwaves.
