But the capacity of the healthcare system across the country is only to transplant 30 thousand cornea. Due to which 70 thousand people are forced to live blind without cornea transplant.
Dr. Rao said that the central and state governments will have to pay attention to government and private hospitals. By 2030, the corneal transplant will have to be increased from 30 thousand to 60 thousand. Apart from this, 50i banks will also have to be opened in the country.
