Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) Has announced the Indian women’s team for the upcoming tour of England. The tour will run from June 28 to July 22, 2025, with five T20 Internationals and three ODIs will be played. This announcement indicates that India is preparing to enter the field with its full power in this important year of women’s cricket, in which the ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup in England are to be held on the home ground.
Harmanpreet Kaur will remain the captain of the team in both formats, while Smriti Mandhana will play the role of vice-captain. The selectors have recently retained the core team that won the triangular series in Sri Lanka to take advantage of continuity and experience in England’s challenging circumstances.
Explosive opener Shaifali Verma has a much -awaited comeback in the 15 -member T20 team. She was not in the recent ODI team, but is still considered a major player in the T20 format. The team consists of experienced names like Jemima Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma and all -rounder Sneh Rana. The responsibility of wicketkeeping will be shared between Richa Ghosh and Yastika Bhatia.
Young fast bowlers Kranti Gaur and Sayali Satghre have a chance based on their recent performance, while Arundhati Reddy and Amanjot Kaur will strengthen the seam attack.
A 16 -member team has been declared for the three -match ODI series, which includes most of the T20 core players. Pritka Rawal and Tejal Hasbnis have been added to the team to strengthen the middle order. Sayli Satghre will lead fast bowling, who will be supported by Mr. Charani and Kranti Gaur.
In particular, Shaifali Verma has been selected only in the T20 team, reflecting strategic selection based on format expertise. Fast bowler Renuka Singh and all -rounder Shreyanka Patil are currently recovering from injury and are unavailable for the tour. Kashvi Gautam, who was out of the Sri Lanka tri -series due to a leg injury, is still out of the team.
