Ajay Jain and District Collector Dr. BR Ambedkar visited Bhogapuram Mandal on Friday, where they examined a number of hotels and resorts that were still under construction. Speaking to the media, Jain emphasized how important hotel infrastructure is to the growth of the travel and tourism industry as a whole.

He examined the designs for a beach resort being built by Sunray-Avani Group in Reddikancheru in Bhogapuram mandal, which is expected to cost Rs. 100 crore. He also looked at the same group’s planned conference center in Kavulavada, which is anticipated to house around 3,000 people and create 300 jobs. The group also gave the official a tour of their current golf course and beach resort.

As part of Sunray Resorts’ growth, Ajay Jain proposed sending applications to allot 3.6 acres of government land in Savaravalli to facilitate the building of a three-star hotel.

The Special Chief Secretary also went to Annavaram in Bheemunipatnam Mandal to see the Mayfair Group’s five-star hotel under development. He assessed road access to the hotel, which is being constructed with an investment of Rs. 40 crore, and spoke with Bheemunipatnam RDO Sangeet Madhur about land allocation concerns.

Jain went to Annavaram to see another five-star hotel being built by the Oberoi Group. He asked about the difficulties encountered during building. The official suggested submitting bids to construct a five-star hotel on property controlled by the Roads and Buildings Department in Vizianagaram town.

Later, Ajay Jain and the district collector also examined the Bhogapuram International Airport’s development. According to him, the work is moving quickly and should be finished sooner rather than later.
