A 17th century city in southern is facing a massive problem - an eternal traffic jam. Dhaka - the capital of Bangladesh - has been dubbed unlivable due to its notorious traffic congestion. Its roads are often clogged with endless amounts of vehicles creating horrendous and agonising commute times.
has exploded in size with an eye watering population of 10.2million without a growing public transport system to match. As a result, Dhaka's roads are now experiencing traffic they were simply not designed for. Insufficient traffic lights and poor traffic management also contribute to the almost permanent gridlock.
Dhaka's traffic is the weather of the city, a storm that never lets up, the average driving speed is just four miles per hour.
The largest city in Bangladesh is one of the largest and most densely populated cities in the world.
Travel guru, Drew Binksy, who has travelled to every country in the world, branded the city as having the worst "traffic in the world".
The Youtuber, who has amassed a following of over five million, said in a Youtube video that he would never forget standing on a bridge overlooking Dhaka and seeing "total chaos".
Drew said: "It's faster to walk the streets than it is to drive. Hands down the worst traffic in the world
"When you are driving you are stuck in traffic and not moving anywhere. I just find India and Sri Lanka and Nepal to be more exciting than Bangladesh. It's just really busy and crowded."
Despite insisting Dhaka is not his "cup of tea" the travel expert wouldn't rule out visiting Bangladesh again.
Drew added: "It doesn't mean I'm not going to give Bangladesh another chance, it just means that Dhaka is not my cup of tea and listen if you've been there and loved I'd love to hear from you."
Dhaka is among the world's most polluted cities, earlier this year its Air Quality and Pollution City Ranking reached 304, classified as 'hazardous'.
