Padubidri: A 26-year-old worker from Bihar, identified as Anu Kumar, died after collapsing in his house’s bathroom on Saturday morning.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 11 am at Kanjarkatte, where Kumar worked at a gunny bag factory. Police said the man, who was reportedly addicted to heavy drinking, fell unconscious in the bathroom. His wife rushed him to Ajjarakadu Government Hospital in Udupi, but he was declared dead on arrival.

Based on his wife’s complaint, Padubidri police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances leading to the incident.
