Shami’s befitting reply: Rumors of retirement denied

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami on Tuesday criticized an online portal for speculation on his Test future before the five -match important series against England starting on 20 June.

Shami, 34,, who is currently representing Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025, criticized the report and confirmed his commitment to the national team in the longest format of the game.

However, Shami, who last played the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy for India in 2025, denied these claims through a note on Instagram.

Shami wrote on Instagram Stories, “Very nice, Maharaj. The days of their jobs are over.

Shami has not played a Test for India since the World Test Championship Final against Australia at Oval in June 2023. Overall, he has played 64 Tests for India and took 229 wickets at an average of 27.71.
