Material (Potato Cheela Recipe)

  • Potato – 3 medium sized (grated)
  • onion – 1 finely chopped
  • Green chilly – 1–2 finely chopped
  • Green coriander – 2 tablespoons (finely chopped)
  • Gram flour – 2–3 tablespoons (for binding)
  • Salt – As per taste
  • chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
  • Oil – To bake

Method (Potato Cheela Recipe)

  • 1. First of all, peel the potatoes and grate it. Then squeeze a little water with grated potatoes, so that the batter is not very wet.
  • 2. Add grated potatoes, chopped onions, green chillies, green coriander, gram flour, salt, red chili powder and garam masala in a large bowl and mix well.

If the mixture looks very dry then you can sprinkle a little water, but keep in mind that the batter remains thick.

  • 3. Now heat a non-stick griddle and put some oil on it. Spread a little part from the mixture and spread it on the pan and flatten it lightly.
  • 4. Bake on low flame till it becomes golden and crisp on both sides. Give each side about 3–4 minutes.
  • 5. Serve hot with prepared potato cheela green chutney or tomato sauce-those who praise will not stop!
