Pakistani television star Sarah Khan, known for her successful acting career and strong social media presence, is once again in the spotlight—this time not for a drama, but for her views on feminism.

The actress, who is set to appear alongside Danish Taimoor in the upcoming drama Sher, recently gave an interview to Independent Urdu that has ignited discussions online. During the interview, Sarah shared her thoughts on gender roles, stating that she does not identify as a strong feminist and prefers a more traditional dynamic between men and women.

“I’m not a huge feminist,” she said. “I believe men should be placed on the pedestal created for them, and women can then live peacefully. I see myself as a woman from older times. I prefer staying at home and letting men handle things like paying bills. That’s just how I am.”

Sarah’s comments quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions on social media. Supporters praised her for upholding traditional values, with one user commenting, “She’s promoting the right values.” Another added, “Islam already gives women their rights; we don’t need Western feminism.”

While her remarks resonated with many, they also prompted debate among those who advocate for gender equality and modern feminist perspectives. Nonetheless, Sarah’s stance reflects a sentiment shared by a segment of society that values traditional gender roles.

Known not just for her acting but also for her public relationship with singer-husband Falak Shabir, Sarah often shares moments from her personal life online—where her signature red roses and displays of affection have made her one half of a beloved celebrity couple.

Whether admired or critiqued, Sarah Khan’s latest statements have certainly sparked conversation, adding a new dimension to her public persona.
