Best practices for using Stage Manager

While Stage Manager can appear a little daunting at first glance, it does become second nature very quickly. Below we’ll explain how to go about doing it.

– Currently opened applications will take center stage on the screen.
– All formerly opened applications will be captured on the left sidebar of the screen.
– If an application in use is sitting alongside other applications, with a simple tap or drag they can be positioned to center stage.
– Additional application groupings can be enabled through the three-dot menu by clicking Add Another Window.

Removing apps from the Dock, Recent Apps list, or the App Library can be done with a click and drag motion.

Windows can be re-sized by pulling on the corners.

Enable full screen mode through the use of the three-dot icon.

Up to four apps may be viewed at the same time on the screen.

In order to remove an app, use the three-dot menu and Close Window.

For a more minimalist look, Recent Apps or Dock can be hidden in Settings > Home Screen & Multitasking.

If used regularly, Stage Manager can transform your iPad into a powerful multitasking device resembling a fully-functional desktop computer.
