Shark Tank India's Anupam Mittal on staying motivated through setbacks; writes 'There's no life hack'

Anupam Mittal , one of the most admired sharks on Shark Tank India , recently shared an honest and introspective post on a social networking site, opening up about how he stays motivated through tough times. Known for his composed demeanor and sound business wisdom, Mittal offered a refreshingly real take on resilience—without the sugar-coating.
“How do I stay motivated through setbacks?” he wrote. “Wish I had a killer answer. But honestly… I don’t. There’s no life hack. No 5 AM routine that magically keeps it all together.” Instead, he shared that he simply figures it out like everyone else—through trial, error, and repetition. What works for him is movement—be it a gym session, a walk, some yoga, or even squats during a stressful call. He wrote, “Most days, I just figure it out (like everyone else) - Trial. Error. Repeat. What’s helped me, though? I move. Gym, walk, yoga, squats in the middle of a stressful call - whatever keeps my head from spiraling. And I meditate so that I do not lose it by 11 AM.”
He added that meditation helps him maintain emotional balance before his day spirals out of control. However, the core of his motivation, he says, lies beyond just physical habits. “But I also think the everyday fighting spirit comes from more than just that physical movement...It comes by remembering that the purpose is bigger than the pain,” he wrote. “The short-term dip is just that—short-term. And the long-term version of you deserves that extra rep, that small reset, that one more push.”
Mittal’s post resonated with thousands who look up to him for both business and life advice. As the founder of Shaadi.com and a seasoned entrepreneur, he has seen both high peaks and tough troughs. Having been part of Shark Tank India for four seasons, Anupam continues to inspire with his thoughtful mentorship and grounded outlook.
In a world obsessed with hustle culture and quick fixes, Mittal’s candid message is a powerful reminder: resilience isn’t about having it all figured out—it’s about showing up, one mindful step at a time.
