A man was apprehended in Pune during a joint operation conducted by military intelligence from the Southern Command and local police. Authorities reported this incident on Monday.

The police received tips regarding the suspicious activities of the individual, identified as Gaurav Kumar, leading to his arrest on Sunday night.

Following thorough verification and surveillance, a combined team from the Southern Command military intelligence and Khadki police station detained the suspect around 8:40 PM in the Kharadi area.

Officials revealed that they confiscated two Indian Air Force T-shirts, military uniform pants, shoes, two Air Force badges, and other related items from the accused.

A case has been registered against the suspect under Section 168 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to impersonating personnel of the Army, Navy, or Air Force. The police are currently investigating the motives behind his fraudulent military impersonation and any associated security concerns.
