Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has quashed rumours of Matheus Cunha's potential departure to Manchester United, saying the player is happy at Molineux. The 25-year-old Brazilian striker has been at the centre of speculation linking him with a switch to Old Trafford, having impressed with his goalscoring prowess for Wolves.

With Wolves recently fighting off relegation threats, Cunha's contribution of 15 goals and six assists has been crucial to Pereira's team, but recent reports hinted at an imminent deal with Man United. However, Pereira maintains he is unaware of any developments and emphasises Cunha's contentment at Molineux.

He commented: "I have the same information as you. I don't know. I just know he's my player. He's committed with the team, he's working with happiness and we will see what happens. You must ask him. He is happy. I feel he is happy."

Looking ahead, Wolves are set to face FA Cup winners Crystal Palace on Tuesday, hoping to bounce back from two straight losses. Palace, buoyed by their historic victory over Manchester City courtesy of Eberechi Eze's goal, will be looking to carry their triumphant momentum into the match.

Pereira extended his congratulations to Oliver Glasner's team, praising their success as a positive moment for the sport.

He added: "I want to congratulate them because it's a huge achievement and is good for football when the small beats the big club.

"This is competition, they are a very consistent team, good players, good manager and we'll face a strong team but looking for our game, our play, this is the way we prepared for the game. We will try to improve from the last game."

The remarkable turnaround under Pereira has captured attention as he scooped the Premier League Manager of the Month for April and earned a nomination for Manager of the Season.

Under his leadership, Wolves climbed from relegation fears to a secure mid-table position, an achievement he reflected upon: "Our title this season was to transform our situation into a better situation. To come in four games before the end of the season and we stay in the Premier League, but it cannot be the same next season.

"We need to be consistent from the beginning, to dream with other things. I need a break. I started in Saudi Arabia, it was not easy, tough work, and now it's not time to rest because we need to do a lot of work in the holidays."
