Mumbai Crime News: Cops have arrested a woman and her 19-year-old lover for allegedly raping two-and-a-half-year-old daughter in front of mother. Reportedly, the lover killed the child after raping her. The incident took place in Mumbai's Malvani area.
Police received information from the hospital about the death of a two-and-a-half-year-old child and immediately reached the hospital to investigate.
The doctor reported that the minor girl died from asphyxia caused by shock and had been sexually assaulted. Following a thorough investigation, the police arrested the child’s mother and her lover under multiple sections of the POCSO Act and the Indian Penal Code.
The police have registered a case under sections 70, 64, 65 (2), 66,103, 238, 3 (5) of the Indian Penal Code as well as sections 6, 10, 21 of the POCSO Act.
Further investigations are underway.
In another incident, a case has been registered against three men for allegedly trespassing into a stockyard and assaulting a staffer of the facility in Navi Mumbai, police said on Monday. The incident occurred at a stockyard in Kon village in Panvel on the evening of May 16, an official said, as reported by PTI. As per a complaint, Deepak Hake, a former sarpanch of Kon village, and his associates Kunal Gaikwad and Jitesh Kamble forcibly entered the premises without permission and forced the in-charge Rajubhai Patel to sign an unspecified document, the official said.
