Indian Railways has launched the new SwaRail app. This app will replace the existing IRCTC Rail Connect app in the near future. Many advanced features will be available in this app. Also, it is different from the existing app in many ways.

IRCTC has launched its new super app SwaRail. This app was first introduced for Android users. Now it is also available on iOS. Through this app, passengers can get information about rail ticket booking and essential facilities from the railways. This app has been developed by the Center for Railway Information System (CRIS). This app has been launched for limited beta users only. Its latest version v127 has been released.

After the trial is completed, this app will be introduced commercially. This app will replace the existing Rail Connect. Let us know how different this new SwaRail app is from the existing Rail Connect and what advanced features are available in it?

IRCTC Rail Connect

This Rail Connect app of IRCTC is used for railway reservation. Through this app, lakhs of railway passengers of the country book online reservation tickets. Apart from this, you can also see PNR status and online charts in it. By creating an IRCTC account, you can book online reservation tickets through this app.

SwaRail

This new app of Indian Railways works like a Super App. Through this, you can book online reservation tickets as well as UTS i.e. unreserved and platform tickets. Not only this, this app will provide you information about every facility related to Indian Railways. Through this app, you can also avail online catering facility.

Not only this, SwaRail app is equipped with facilities like train running status, PNR inquiry, rail help, rail parcel and freight service, onboard food delivery. Overall, this app of Indian Railways will provide you all the facilities and information related to railways at one place. You will not need to install different apps for different services.

In this app, you can avail all these facilities by logging in with the credentials of the existing IRCTC and UTS app. This app of CRIS will be equipped with advanced features, in which the privacy of the passengers will also be taken care of. Also, railway passengers will not face any problem in booking online reservation or unreserved tickets. Also, AI will also be integrated in it.
