Tuesday’s reports claim that Inter captain and leading goalscorer Lautaro Martinez is set to feature in the team’s final game of the Serie A season against Como on Friday night, and that he is expected to line up as a starter for the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 31.
The Nerazzurri talisman sparked concerns when he was forced off midway through the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona at the end of April, with what was later confirmed as a flexor injury.
El Toro sat out of Inter’s following Serie A match, a 1-0 win over Hellas Verona, and made a miraculous recovery to start in the second leg of the Champions League final, the 4-3 win in San Siro, less than a week after he picked up his injury.

Lautaro has missed the last two Serie A matches since then, though, and has not yet been able to train with the rest of his Nerazzurri teammates.
Lautaro expected to play in Como-Inter and Champions League final
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello SportLautaro is expected to return to training with the Inter first-team either on Tuesday or Wednesday, which means that he is in contention to play against Como on Friday night.
It is not yet clear whether he will be in a position to start against Cesc Fabregas’s side, but the Pink Paper claims that he is almost certain to feature, whether that be from the bench or from the off.

The Serie A match against Como is a title decider. Inter are one point behind Napoli in second place at the top of the Serie A standings with just one game to go. The Nerazzurri require Napoli to either draw or lose at home against Cagliari if they are to have any chance of winning the title on the final day.
Still, if Inter are unable to win the Serie A title, they will have a second chance at silverware in the Champions League final on May 31, a game which Lautaro is expected to start as he will have had well over a week’s worth of training under his belt by that stage if all goes to plan.
