New Delhi: In a thrilling match of IPL 2025 Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets in a match played in Delhi. Although both the teams are already out of the playoff race the match was very competitive and spectacular. Chennai Super Kings batted first and scored a strong score of 187/8 in 20 overs. The biggest innings for the team was played by Devon Conway who scored 108 runs in 80 balls. He hit 12 fours and 5 sixes. At the same time Ayush Mhatre played a stormy innings of 43 runs. However the team got off to a bad start and the first two wickets fell for just 12 runs. Yudhveer Singh bowled brilliantly and took three wickets. He sent Urvil Patel (0) Ravindra Jadeja (1) and Conway to the pavilion. In the last overs Aksha Madhwal also bowled lethally and took three wickets. Apart from this Hasranga also took an important wicket. Chasing the target of 188 runs Rajasthan Royals got off to a strong start. Yashasvi Jaiswal (36) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi added a quick 37 runs for the first wicket. Suryavanshi scored 57 runs in 33 balls including 4 fours and 4 sixes. Captain Sanju Samson also batted brilliantly and scored 41 runs in 31 balls. He hit some attractive shots and put the team in a strong position. Finishing was easy In the end Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer took Rajasthan to the target. Jurel played an unbeaten innings of 31 runs in 12 balls while Hetmyer also hit the winning four. Rajasthan won the match in just 17.1 overs. Out of the playoffs but commendable performance Although this season was disappointing for both Rajasthan and Chennai and they are out of the playoff race but in this match both the teams gave a lot of thrill to the fans. Samson and Suryavanshis innings played a big role in Rajasthans victory while Conways century was memorable for Chennai.
