Ravichandran Ashwin came early today, as Chennai Super Kings lost quick early wickets of Devon Conway and Urvil Patel. However, Ash showed intent, smacked a six and a boundary. The over-boundary came from a picture-perfect flick shot, leaving all the batters in awe.

However, in the seventh over, Ashwin got out by lofting a shot straight to deep midwicket, where Shimron Hetmyer took the catch. He stepped out of his crease, tried to hit across the line, but couldn't clear the fielder. Ashwin's spectacle ended with him scoring 13 runs off 8 balls.

CSK top order struggled against RR
Today, in Delhi, both Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are facing each other, while both have been waved off from the playoff race. However, yet again, the CSK's vulnerability in batting got exposed.
Devon Conway looked to attack early but misjudged a short-of-a-length ball from Yudhvir Singh. Charging down the pitch, he awkwardly chipped it straight to Riyan Parag at mid-off for 10. Two balls later, Urvil Patel tried to slog a hard-length delivery from Yudhvir but mistimed it. The bat turned in his hand, and Kwena Maphaka at mid-on backtracked swiftly to complete a sharp overhead catch—Patel gone for a duck.
Ayush Mhatre counter-attacked with an entertaining 43 off 20 balls, hitting 8 fours and a six. However, he too perished trying to clear the boundary. He attempted to loft a full delivery from Tushar Deshpande down the ground but hit the bottom of his bat. Once again, made an impact in the deep—running in from the boundary and diving low for his second catch of the evening.
