Manchester United are closing in on their first major signing of the summer transfer window after reportedly receiving the green light to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers. According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal is “very, very close” to being finalized.
Cunha, who impressed at Wolves with his flair, versatility, and attacking threat, is seen as a strong addition to United’s frontline. However, the Red Devils aren’t stopping there.
Romano further reported that as soon as the green light was given for Cunha, United immediately turned their attention to Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyökeres. The Swedish forward, who thrived under United’s incoming manager Ruben Amorim, has had an exceptional campaign with over 60 goal contributions so far this season.
Gyökeres is regarded as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, and his familiarity with Amorim’s system makes him an ideal fit for United’s plans.
