New Delhi: Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra was arrested last week on charges of spying for Pakistan. Malhotra's undated diary entry about her Pakistan visit has now surfaced online. In the diary, she painted a positive image of the neighbouring country. Malhotra's 10-11 page diary entry has notes written in English and Hindi. The YouTuber was taken into custody on May 17. She reportedly came in contact with a Pakistan High Commission official, Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, in 2023. Malhotra reportedly visited Pakistan thrice - in 2023, 2024 and March 2025, just a month ahead of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. During the initial investigation, it was revealed that Malhotra provided information to her Pakistani officials during India's Operation Sindoor. Investigators probing the case believe Malhotra was honey-trapped by Danish. Notably, Danish had alleged links with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). He was declared persona non grata by the Indian government after the Pahalgam terror attack and was asked to leave India before May 13.
