Renowned Pakistani model and actress Areeba Habib has advised young women not to delay marriage in the pursuit of building their careers, suggesting that when they find the right partner, they should get married.
Areeba recently appeared on the comedy talk show where she spoke candidly on various topics, including her career and personal life.
She shared that although she had a passion for acting since childhood, she never initially thought she would enter the showbiz industry. Her journey began when she attended a family event with her relatives, where she was noticed by renowned fashion personality Frieha Altaf. Frieha immediately offered her a modeling opportunity after taking a brief audition at the event, which included a runway walk and a few questions.
When asked why she appears in fewer dramas, Areeba explained that she has spent more time modeling and has done the amount of acting she desired. Now, she prefers to work only on quality roles, which is why she is less frequently seen on screen. She also mentioned that since getting married, she naturally wants to appear less in the media but will continue acting in meaningful roles.
Areeba revealed that she and her husband were friends for two years before deciding to marry. Her husband lived in Germany, and they met through mutual friends. Though they’ve been married for three years, their relationship spans over five years.
When asked about her views on marriage, Areeba advised young women not to postpone marriage for the sake of work. She stressed that women should not use career commitments as an excuse to delay getting married.
She emphasized that if a woman finds a man she likes—especially one who respects his own family—it’s likely he will also respect his wife and her family, making him a good partner. Therefore, she believes women should not hesitate or delay when the right match comes along.
