Ingredients for making Palak Vada

  • Chopped spinach – 2-3 cups
  • Gram flour – 3 cups
  • Rice flour – 1/4 cup
  • Chopped ginger – 2 tsp
  • Chopped onion – 1/2 cup
  • Chopped green chillies – 2 teaspoons
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 2 teaspoons
  • Celery – 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi – 2 teaspoons
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt – to taste

  • To make Palak Vada, first wash the spinach thoroughly and then break its stalk and chop it finely.
  •  After this, chop onion, ginger, and green chillies too.
  • Now take a big bowl and add gram flour and rice flour into it and mix both of them well.
  • After this, add chopped green chilies, onion, celery, fenugreek seeds and mix. Then add red chili powder, cumin and other spices.
  • After mixing all the ingredients well, add finely chopped spinach and mix it well.
  • The mixture will become wet due to the moisture in the spinach, so there is no need to add extra water.
  •  When the stuffing for spinach vada is ready, take the mixture in your hand and make vadas and keep them in a separate plate
  •  Prepare spinach vadas in the same way using the entire mixture.
  •  Now put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame.
  •  When the oil is hot, add the spinach vadas in the pan as per its capacity and deep fry them
