Jim Irsay , the longtime owner and CEO of the Indianapolis Colts , passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 65.

The Colts said in a statement on X, “We are devastated to announce our beloved Owner & CEO, Jim Irsay, passed away peacefully in his sleep this afternoon. Jim's dedication and passion for the Indianapolis Colts, in addition to his generosity, commitment to the community, and most importantly, his love for his family, were unsurpassed. Our deepest sympathies go to his daughters, Carlie Irsay-Gordon , Casey Foyt , Kalen Jackson , and his entire family as we grieve with them.”

According to the Colts' official statement, Irsay passed away peacefully in his sleep.

Jim Irsay is survived by his three daughters, Carlie Irsay-Gordon, Casey Foyt, and Kalen Jackson, who have been involved in the team's operations.

Meg Coyle :

Jim Irsay and Meg Coyle’s love story was a classic high-school romance. The duo met during their high school years, attending Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb just north of Chicago. Their relationship began as a teenage romance and evolved into a lifelong partnership. Jim married Meg Coyle in 1980.

The couple's marriage lasted for over three decades before they separated in 2003 and finalized their divorce in 2014.


Despite their separation, Meg and Jim have maintained a cordial relationship, and she has continued to support his philanthropic endeavors and remained close to their daughters.


Carlie Irsay-Gordon:

Carlie Irsay-Gordon is the eldest of Jim and Meg's daughters.


She has been actively involved in the Colts organization, serving as the vice chair and co-owner since 2012. Carlie began her career in the team's ticket office and later worked in marketing and strategy before assuming her current role. In 2014, she stepped in as chair after her father's legal troubles, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to the team.

Casey Foyt:

Kalen Jackson
