At least 82 people, including many mothers and a week-old baby, were killed by Israeli attacks in Gaza overnight and into Wednesday, according to hospitals there. EU examines the agreement

On Wednesday, the European Union made the decision to examine Article 2 of its 2000 trade pact with Israel. The populace is in danger of being hungry. The people of Gaza must get the assistance they need. Israel will be subject to penalties if it is determined that it has violated its human rights commitments. However, the EU is only attempting to increase pressure on Israel in the hopes that it would eventually let more assistance to enter Gaza, according to a statement.
