The Union minister went on to say, “We are not just assigning electric buses; we are utilizing innovation and environmental awareness to shape the future of India’s transportation system.” “We are committed to fulfilling the PM e-Drive promise as we work closely with states like Telangana, Karnataka, Delhi, and Gujarat.”
Over the course of two years, from April 2024 to March 2026, the PM e-Drive program seeks to install 14,028 electric buses at a total cost of ₹10,900 crore. The plan is one of the biggest national initiatives to electrify public transportation on a major scale in the globe.
