A prolific vile is back behind bars after eagle-eyed uncovered dozens of disgusting images of child sexual abuse from his evil hiding place. Andrew Wolverson, 73, was visited by at his home in Northwich carrying out a random compliance check on 13th November last year after he had been behind bars at least three times before.
Chester Crown heard officers spotted he had a strange LP vinyl record with a 'topless female' of the front - prompting police to give it a closer inspection. Inside they found vile drawings of child sex abuse - with a notepad under his bed also filled with twisted images that breached his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
In addition to the total of 173 images, police also found an unregistered USB stick which was also a breach of the SHPO court order.
The former dentist had been behind bars at least three times before for similar offences including a three-year term from 2021.
At Chester Magistrates Court two days after the discovery he admitted the possession of a prohibited image and a breach of the order.
Last week at crown court he was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison by Judge Steven Everett, the Honorary Recorder of Chester.
On his release, Wolverson is to remain subject to the requirements of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and the Sex Offenders Register for the rest of his life.
Police Constable David Howells, of the Cheshire Police Sex Offender Management Unit, said: "As a registered sex offender, Wolverson was required to adhere to a number of conditions to deter him from reoffending.
"Sadly, he chose to ignore these conditions, and he is now facing the consequences of his actions.
"This sentencing shows the effectiveness of monitoring offenders who are subject to Sexual Harm Prevention Orders and highlights the consequences of not adhering to the conditions.
"I hope it reassures people that we do monitor registered sex offenders in the community along with our probation partners and take swift decisive action when a breach is discovered."
