viewers are used to seeing on their screens each week as the 66-year-old is a regular panelist on Loose Women. The TV personality first joined the daytime programme in 2005, appearing in over 500 episodes alongside the likes of , Carol McGiffin and .

But in 2013, Denise announced that she was stepping down after changes were made without her knowledge.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Denise said at the time: "I was hurt that the changes were made and kept a secret, and that the person responsible for the decisions hadn't come and talked to me about it."

She added: "Every show needs a shake-up. But the way the show's going, I've felt that my wings have been clipped. I feel the way the show is going is losing the fun of it."

The actress also compared Loose Women to previous experiences she had working on Waterloo Road and Coronation Street, where the environment became detrimental to her health.

In August 2018, Denise returned to the panel after a five-year hiatus. Speaking to Zoe Ball on her show, the former soap star admitted she found it strange returning as the programme was filmed in a completely different studio.

"It felt weird at first, because of course it's not at ITV building anymore - it's at the old BBC building in White City," she said.

"So that felt a bit weird, but by the time I was in the meeting room and then stood backstage, it was honestly like five years had just disintegrated. And I had a fantastic welcome from the girls going back."

The Hollyoaks star also said it was "great" to be back on the show and that it was "the time was right" to return.

Denise has been a regular on the panel since her return and recently confesses she has no plans to change that.

Speaking to The Mirror, she said: "I love being on the show, I did have a break for a few years but I love it right now. It fits into my lifestyle really well and I've no plans of leaving. "I love catching up with the girls and we all support each other.

"Believe you me, If I didn't get on with everybody then I wouldn't be doing it, I'm at an age now

where I don't need to."
