A plane crashed in the Murphy Canyon neighbourhood near San Diego this morning, with reported. Police and services rushed to the scene; there was no word about potential victims. The incident was reported at 3:50am, according to the Highway Patrol.

San Diego Fire Department confirmed that the plane directly hit a number of homes with at least 15 properties affected as well as vehicles ablaze. The jet was on its way to Montgomery Field when it went down. Debris and jet fuel are spread across the neighbourhood following the crash.
