Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola has announced his condition to stay at the club for next season. If his expectations doesn’t met them he’ll be leaving the side. The manager wants the squad to be short. He doesn’t want a big squad where he have five, six players in the tribune. He has also suggested that even if he faced injuries in the squad, he will make use of the academy players, but big squad is not what he’s looking for.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has laid down a firm condition to remain at the club for the next season, a smaller squad.
The Spanish tactician, who has led City to numerous titles, has made it clear that he does not want to work with a large squad where several senior players are left out of matchday selections. “I said to the club, I don’t want that. If they don’t make a short squad, I will not stay,” Guardiola said. “It’s impossible for me to put players in the tribune and cannot play.”
Guardiola, known for his precise squad management, emphasized that even in the case of injuries, he is willing to rely on academy talent rather than stacking the team with senior options. His preference is for a streamlined group where every player feels involved and valued.
