Hong Kong actor Chow Yun Fat celebrated his 70th birthday by hiking with close friends, including actor Michael Miu and wife Jaime Chik, as well as singer Calvin Choy.

As reported by The Straits TimesMiu shared photos on Instagram from their hike, showing him, Chow, and Chik atop a hill.
“He is my role model in whatever he does,” Miu captioned the post. “Happy 70th birthday to my most respected brother. Live a carefree and happy life.”
Also joining the hike was singer Calvin Choy, a member of the popular Cantopop group Grasshopper. Choy posted a video from the outing, wishing Chow a “Happy 70th birthday to my super idol.”
Chow, known for his love of hiking and jogging, continues to live an active lifestyle at his age. Earlier this year, he participated in a marathon, completing the 21-kilometer half-marathon in 2 hours, 24 minutes, and 33 seconds. Last year, he celebrated his 69th birthday by jogging 6.9 kilometers with Miu and other celebrity friends, including Felix Wong and the celebrity couple Edwin Siu and Priscilla Wong.
After the hike, Chow celebrated with his Singaporean wife Jasmine Tan and close family and friends. The actor cut his birthday cakes with them, marking the occasion with warmth and love.
Chow, a legendary figure in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry, rose to fame through TVB dramas such as “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” and “The Bund.” Throughout his illustrious career, he has earned numerous awards, including three Hong Kong Film Awards and two Golden Horse Awards for Best Actor.
In 2023, he was named Asian Filmmaker of the Year at the 28th Busan International Film Festival, joining Tony Leung as the second Hong Kong actor to receive this prestigious honor.
