Health Desk: Every person’s body is different, but to live a healthy life, it is important to know how much your weight should be according to your length. Both more or low weight conditions can lead to health problems. Therefore, all individuals should identify weight according to length.

Length and weight relation

The easiest way to determine body weight according to its length is BMI (Body Mass Index). BMI is a measure that puts the body fat in the ratio of length and weight. Although BMI does not take into consideration all types of anatomy (such as muscle -rich body), it is still useful as a common guideline.

Ideal BMI limit

Underweight (low weight): BMI less than 18.5

Normal (General Weight): BMI 18.5 to 24.9

Overweight (overweight): BMI 25 to 29.9

Obese: BMI 30 or more
