But now his father has decided to speak up without keeping anything under wraps. In a recent interview Suniel Shetty openly spoke about a rampage regarding the alleged negative portrayal of his son. Expressing his deep anger Suniel revealed that some people from the industry are deliberately running a smear campaign to ruin Ahans reputation to hamper his career. He also shares that even other star kids are the target of this campaign. According to Shetty this all happened after Border 2 was announced and Ahan decided to work on this iconic war sequel that once brought Suniel to the peak of his career. In the interview Suniel shared “People didn’t want Ahan to do Border 2. They desired him to appear in their films instead. When he chose passion over their projects a negative campaign began. Because of these reports he was taken off other projects as well.” According to Suniel Ahan was the target of smear campaigns and people were paid even a large sum of money to malign him. “He has a small circle of 10 people he trusts yet these people turned on him. Do you think I don’t have connections? Do you think I can’t do the same? If this continues I’ll hold a press conference and take every name publicly. I’ll explode their lies” he warned. Suniel also spoke about Ahans strong values: “Even today I pay for my own meals. I don’t let producers pay for me. Ahan is the same — he doesn’t use anyone’s money. He’s been brought up with honesty and self-respect” he added. Suniel’s frustration goes beyond just bad publicity it’s about the emotional and professional toll it’s taken on his son. “Ahan let go a lot of things for this film. Rumours were spread that he comes with expensive bodyguards paid articles were published The actor pointed out that the upcoming film Border 2 set to hit theaters in 2026 is incredibly important to Ahan and he’s pouring his heart into it. “That boy is obsessed with Border” he said with emotion clearly proud of Ahan’s dedication and drive.
