A shocking turn of events occurred when residents saw a young guy visiting his sister-in-law in Koyal village, which is within the jurisdiction of the Charpokhari police station in Bihar. This led to a hurriedly planned marriage.
Local resident Dilip Kumar, 24, had been engaging in a covert affair with Rani, his cousin Sonu Chaudhary’s wife. Only a few months after Rani and Sonu were married on February 27, 2022, in Delia Lakh village under the Chauri police station, the affair, which had been going on for more than two years, started.
Dilip fell in love with Rani even though they had grown up together and had attended her wedding. In Sonu’s absence, the two became close and began meeting in secret often.
When Sonu discovered the two red-handed six months ago, things became more heated and led to a family argument. Eventually, Rani went back to her mother’s house in Koyal, where Dilip kept paying her covert visits. In the beginning, Dilip avoided the subject and turned down Rani’s proposal of marriage.
Dilip visited Rani once again at her request. The locals learned about their rendezvous when the two were talking in a chamber. There was a disturbance when they went inside and confronted Dilip.
Following much discussion at a panchayat meeting, it was decided that the couple would be married in order to respect societal conventions. Sonu consented to let her leave, saying that she should live where she finds happiness, despite Dilip’s hesitation, pointing out that Rani had not yet been divorced.
After thereafter, Rani and Dilip were wed in the Shiva temple in Koyal village in accordance with Hindu traditions. During the ceremony, the Panchayat gave a letter of assent to formally formalize the union.
