A home solution made with just 3 common ingredients which can be prepared from milk, salt and boric powder is quite effective in eliminating termites.

• Boric powder has insecticidal properties that penetrate the body of termites and damage their nervous system .
• Salt draws out the moisture from the termites' bodies, causing them to die quickly.
• The milk serves as a carrier for the mixture, allowing the solution to reach into cracks and inside the wood and attract chemicals.

This recipe is very easy to prepare. You just need these three things:

• 1/2 cup lukewarm milk
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 1 tsp boric powder

• Take lukewarm milk in a bowl. Add salt and boric powder to it.
• Prepare a thick solution by stirring it well.
• Apply this solution with a brush or dropper at the place where termites are present.
• If you want, you can also soak cotton in this mixture and put it in the cracks of the furniture.

• This mixture can be applied on doors, windows, cupboards, beds, tables, chairs etc. This remedy helps in killing termites that have settled deep inside the wood. Make sure that the wood is dry so that the solution can penetrate inside properly.
• If termites have settled in a corner of books, newspapers or boxes, then a light spray can be made and used there. Excess moisture on the paper can cause damage, so apply it gently only on the affected area.
• Wherever there are cracks or dampness in the walls or floors of the house, fill this solution with a brush or dropper. This will have a direct effect on the termite colony and stop their growth.
• This solution can be sprayed inside store rooms, boxes, cupboards which have been closed for a long time. This kills the termites hiding there and prevents them from coming back again.
• This solution of boric powder also works on artificial wood like ply and medium-density fibreboard. It forms a layer on their surface, which prevents termites from coming near.
