Air India has kicked off a major network-wide sale ahead of the summer travel season, offering heavily discounted fares across its domestic and international routes, the airline said in a press release on Friday.

During the promotional sale, one-way fares on domestic routes will start from Rs 1,199, and round-trip fares on international routes shall begin at Rs 11,969, the airline said.

The sale is open until 11:59 PM on May 25, 2025, with the final 24 hours of the sale period available exclusively on Air India’s website and mobile app, it added.

Travel dates for most destinations extend until September 30, with select long-haul international routes, including the UK, US, Canada, Europe, and Australia, bookable through December 10.

Direct booking benefits

Air India is incentivising customers to book directly on its website or app by waiving convenience fees and offering additional savings:

• Use code FLYAI to get up to ₹3,000 off per person
• Pay via UPI or Net Banking to receive further discounts up to ₹2,500 using codes UPIPROMO and NBPROMO

Furthermore, passengers can also get up to 40% off on prepaid baggage and 20% off on seat selection, including preferred and extra legroom seats—offers that apply only to non-stop flights and bookings made via Air India’s direct channels.

More savings for HSBC cardholders

Special instant discount offers are available to HSBC credit card users booking through Air India’s official website or app. Savings range from Rs 500 to Rs 8,000 depending on travel class and destination.

Sample international round-trip fares (ex-India):

• UK: Rs 44,000 (Economy) – valid through Dec 10
• Europe: Rs 42,500 (Economy) – valid through Dec 10
• USA: Rs 57,890 (Economy) – valid through Sep 30
• Singapore: Rs 14,814 (Economy) – valid through Sep 30
• UAE: Rs 18,507 (Economy) – valid through Sep 30

Seats under the sale are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, Air India said.

Notably, sale applies only to select domestic and international routes.
