Shopkeeper Chakar Gulab, a native of Gwadar’s Baloch Ward, was forcefully taken and vanished by Pakistani security personnel, according to Paank. His whereabouts has not been known since, and his family has not been informed of his whereabouts.

A driver from Sair Kolowa in the Awaran district, Muhib Ullah, was arrested at a location in Turbat, Kech, on May 21 of this year in a different incident. Since then, he has likewise vanished from view and communication.

“On May 12, 2025, Pakistani security agents forcefully seized and vanished Chakar Gulab, son of Gulab Baloch, a shopkeeper by trade who lived in Baloch Ward, Gwadar. Muhammad Ali’s son, Muhib Ullah, who lived in the Sair Kolowa neighborhood of the Awaran district, was kidnapped and vanished from the Turbat Kech district in Balochistan on May 21, 2025. “He works as a driver,” Paank wrote on X.

According to Paank, enforced disappearances have increased in places like Gwadar, Kech, and Awaran, and these two kidnappings are part of a larger and unsettling trend in Balochistan. In May 2025 alone, human rights organizations reported more than 90 such crimes, many of which were reportedly committed by Pakistani security forces, including the Frontier Corps.

In a major demonstration against the rise in state brutality, the people of Nushki, Balochistan, held a rally on Wednesday in response to a summons from the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC). Protesting against enforced disappearances, extrajudicial executions, and the illegal arrest of BYC leaders, the protesters marched through the streets.

BYC said in a post, X: “People demonstrated against state brutality, extrajudicial executions, enforced disappearances, and the unlawful detention of BYC leaders in response to BYC’s request. Nushki residents responded to the BYC appeal issued by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee yesterday. They demonstrated against enforced disappearances, extrajudicial executions, and the wrongful arrest of BYC leadership in huge numbers.

The demonstration came after Pakistani security agents allegedly kidnapped 11 individuals, including three kids, near SBK University in Nushki on March 16. As part of a continuous campaign of official persecution, the BYC expressed outrage about the occurrence and verified the names of those abducted.
