A popular film which graced screens in 2014 starring two huge Hollywood legends is available to stream for free on Channel 4. The spy thriller has been dubbed 'superb' by fans.
The cast includes the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, known for The Hunger Games series, Rachel McAdams, who gained popularity with films like Mean Girls and The Notebook, and Willem Dafoe, who has appeared in Spider-Man, Nosferatu and Poor Things.
A Most Wanted Man received an IMDB raiting of 6.7/10 and has been the reciepient of three awards.
The film's plot revolves around the arrival of a refugee in Hamburg who sparks a flurry of activity within the security services. The Channel 4 description says the story begins in a bid to find out is he a genuine asylum-seeker or a terrorist?
Despite its heavyweight cast and strong source material, A Most Wanted Man slipped under the radar for many viewers upon its original release. Perhaps overshadowed by flashier spy fare like the James Bond or Bourne franchises. However, the critically aclaimed film won three awards.
The late, great Philip Seymour Hoffman delivers a great performance in what would be one of his final roles, following his death in 2014.
If you're in the mood for a thought-provoking drama that lingers long after the credits roll, this forgotten gem is well worth your time.
