A bargain has listed one of its stores for sale, as it prepares to shut down three additional branches. The Original Factory Shop (TOFS), a discount department chain, has 178 shops across various locations in the UK.

One of its branches on Nairn's High Street in has been listed for sale on the TSA Property Consultants website, suggesting it is likely to close soon. It comes days after the TOFS bosses shared that the store's branch in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire will be closed from next month.

A member of staff said the closure is likely to take place sometime in June, according to the . The unit has been listed for rent, with "To Let" signs appearing above the shop last week.

The branch in Nairn was opened in the Scottish town around two years ago. A spokesperson for The Original Factory shop told : "The Original Factory Shop (TOFS) recently confirmed that as part of a restructuring a number of its loss-making stores will have to close.

"Closing stores is always a tough decision and we are committed to keeping as many stores open as possible. This is, however, dependent on successful negotiations with landlords as we strive to build a sustainable and successful business for the future. We have already announced that two stores will close.

"Additionally, a small number of other stores are currently under review, with their continued operation subject to ongoing negotiations with landlords."

Aside from its Peterhead store in Scotland, the retail chain will be closing two of its stores in England as well.

The branch in Market Place, Staveley, Derbyshire will closed its door permanently from July 12. Similarly, TOFS' store on Charles Street, Milford Haven, has also announced its closure with the launch of a 30 percent off closing-down sale.

The development comes weeks after TOFS' owner, Modella Capital, announced plans to renegotiate rents at 88 of its stores.
