COVID-19 Live Updates: Just when it seemed like the COVID-19 storm had passed and life had fully returned to normal, a fresh ripple has emerged reminding us that the COVID-19 Pandemic Is Not Over Yet. In the last 24 hours, Delhi has reported 23 active cases of the deadly viral infection, Health Minister Dr Pankaj Singh confirmed on Friday.
Talking about the grim situation, Singh said all patients are stable. "Two to three patients are admitted to private hospitals while the others are being monitored We will see if these patients are from Delhi or from outside Delhi. There is no need to panic because the strain is similar to influenza," he said.
To reassure the public, Singh emphasized that Delhi's healthcare infrastructure remains well-equipped to handle any uptick in infections. "We've conducted reviews with medical superintendents. Eight senior officials are making daily rounds of hospitals to ensure preparedness. Oxygen cylinders, oximeters, and isolation beds are in place and ready," he added.
