The third One-Day International (ODI) between Ireland and the West Indies will take place on May 25 at The Village, Dublin. Ireland leads the three-match series 1–0 after a commanding victory in the first ODI.
In the opening match, Ireland defeated the by 124 runs. Andy Balbirnie scored 112 runs, while Paul Stirling (54) and Harry Tector (56) provided strong support leading Ireland to 303/6. West Indies were bowled out for just 179, with a knock by Roston Chase of 55 runs being the sole highlight. Barry McCarthy claimed four wickets for 32 runs in 7.1 overs. George Dockrell chipped in with three wickets in his two-over spell.
In the second ODI, the West Indies posted an imposing total of 352 in their 50 overs. Keacy Carty scored 102, while Matthew Forde smashed a record-equaling 58 off just 19 balls. For Ireland, Liam McCarthy picked up three wickets. But, rain interrupted the match, and it was eventually abandoned.
The West Indies will be aiming to level the series in the final ODI, while Ireland will look to seal it with a win in front of their home crowd.
