A new study has revealed the UK's most exclusive residential streets, highlighting eye-watering house prices across the country. While continues to dominate the rankings with leading the way with one road which has a staggering house price average of £21.4 million, there are pockets of extreme wealth outside the capital too.

Outside of London, the highest-priced homes are found on East Road in Weybridge, Surrey, located within the exclusive St George's Hill gated community, according to the data release by Lloyds Bank. The average home here now commands a jaw-dropping £8 million, placing it far ahead of any other non-London postcode in the UK. This ultra-private estate is known for its high-profile residents and top-tier security, contributing to its status as the most street outside the capital.

St George's Hill is a 964-acre private gated community comprising around 450 luxurious properties, with prices reaching up to £25 million.

The area has been home to numerous celebrities and public figures, including Beatles legend John Lennon, Elton John, Cliff Richard, Ringo Starr, Sue Baker, golfer Nick Faldo, and Formula 1 champion Jenson Button.

The estate offers an elite lifestyle supported by premier amenities like the St George's Hill Golf Club, designed in 1912 by Harry Colt and the estate's Lawn Tennis Club, inaugurated in 1915, which features 13 grass courts and indoor options, along with a health club and spa.

Access is strictly controlled via gated roads and monitored by on-site personnel and automatic number plate recognition.

In a 2023 article, Country Life crowned St George's Hill as "the safest place in Britain to buy a home".

Ranging from original Arts and Crafts-style Tarrant homes to contemporary mansions with Georgian or Queen Anne-style façades, St George's Hill features properties worth tens of millions, often boasting expansive gardens and up to ten bedrooms.

Once the site of an Iron Age hillfort, it gained historical significance in 1649 when a radical group known as the Diggers, led by Gerard Winstanley, attempted to reclaim the land for common use.

The estate as it exists today began to take shape in 1911 when developer Walter George Tarrant purchased the land with a vision of creating an exclusive countryside haven for wealthy Londoners.

His concept aimed to blend seclusion, elegant architecture, and a lifestyle of leisure and sports.

Alongside East Road, other addresses within St George's Hill, such as Camp End Road (average £6.1 million), also rank among the UK's priciest.
