Homemade Kajal: Method of making mascara from almonds and desi ghee at home

Material

4–5 almonds (simple or wet), 1 teaspoon of desi ghee, a lamp (of oil or ghee), a plate or steel bowl (on which soot can accumulate), cotton or match, a small box or dibba (to store kajal).

Recipe

1-First, light a lamp and keep a cotton light in it. Now place a steel bowl or plate on top of the lamp in such a way that its blackness starts accumulating on the lower surface of the bowl.

2-Hatch the almond on the flame directly (carefully, from tweezers). Burn it until it turns completely black.

3-The soot of almonds will accumulate on the surface of the bowl placed above the flame of the lamp. You can also add some ghee to it so that the flame remains stable and the soot becomes more.

4-When enough soot accumulates, keep the bowl to cool down. Then slowly with the help of a spoon, scrape it and remove it.

5-Now mix a few drops of desi ghee in this soot and mix well until a smooth paste is made. Fill this made mascara in a small box. You can use it for 1–2 months.
