A 23-year-old woman tragically took her own life in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Identified as Amreen Jahan, she recorded her final moments on her phone, accusing her husband, father-in-law, and sister-in-law of contributing to her despair.
Reports indicate that Amreen's husband worked as a welder in Bengaluru, while she resided with her in-laws in Moradabad. In her video, she expressed that her in-laws subjected her to harassment following her miscarriage and made derogatory comments about her eating habits.
In the recorded message, Amreen specifically blamed her father-in-law and sister-in-law for her situation, stating that her husband also bore some responsibility. She claimed that her in-laws had expressed regret over funding her medical care and demanded reimbursement.
Amreen's video included a chilling remark from her husband, who allegedly asked her, 'Why don’t you just die?' This statement underscores the emotional turmoil she faced.
Following the incident, local authorities have filed a First Information Report (FIR) and have initiated an autopsy on her body.
