England is on track for some hot weather in just a few days, according to UK . The maps generated by Net Weather flash red as forecasts predict highs of 26C on Friday, May 30. The will start as early as 9am, with the map showing temperatures of up to 21C, before rising later on in the day.

Southern England will take in most of the heat, with Greater London experiencing the . Various regions, including , Hertfordshire, and Kent, will see temperatures just short of Greater London, between 23C and 24C. Further north, the red transitions into a lighter orange shade, indicating a slight drop in temperatures.

The Midlands and Northern England will see varied temperatures, with some regions enjoying 22C heat while the northwest could see temperatures as low as 12C. Durham and Newcastle will also see lower temperatures.

By 9pm, the conditions should cool down, with most of the hottest regions at around 20C to 21C, apart from Greater London and Essex, which will still be relatively warm at 23C.

Despite temperatures being high, the 's UK 5-day weather forecast warns of "scattered showers" accompanying the hot weather.

The weather forecast for this week notes cloud and rain across England and Wales on Tuesday, along with "strong winds". The "heavy rain" is then expected to clear to the east by tonight, whilst heavy showers remain across Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia.

The conditions are then expected to shift from heavy rain to scattered showers from Wednesday, with the southwest predicted to welcome dry weather and "hazy sunshine".

The Met Office's outlook for Thursday to Saturday states: "Further spells of rain are expected over the next few days, mainly in the north. Sunny spells and scattered showers in the south, and turning increasingly warm."
